And yes, quality costs money. But there are ways you can creatively cut costs and still put out a quality book. Let’s take a look. Luckily, this can be included with cover design at ma ny design firms.$50 - $300PromotionIf you want to run ads for your site or pay your launch team in any way, these are costs you will have to cover.$0 - $500Author ToolsThis includes courses, building your site, automated email services, writing software, and more.$175 +How Much Does a Book CoverDesigner Cost?Even though we’ve been told â€Å"you’re not supposed to judge a book by its cover,† the reality is, we do it anyway. The book cover design can often determine whether or not people will actually pay for it and read it. Your cover will make or break your book right off the bat. If there’s any one cost you don’t want to go cheap on, this would be it.While it’s true you can outsource to someone onFiverr and get a decent cover for less than $20, it pays to do your research and find a better designer who is going to deliver a good book cover that sells your book. Many who do it as a living have inside market knowledge and tailor your book cover for your specific genre. If you do decide to go through Fiverr, check out this video Chandler Bolt recorded on how to use Fiverr.com to outsource your book coverdesign. I would recommend setting aside a budget of at least $100. This isn’t to say that spending tons of money will get you an awesome cover, but going cheap may hurt your sales in the long run.How Much Does a Book Editor Cost?Ahigh-qualitybook should always be edited by areal editor. Whether you hire a line editor or copy editor, you should get a professional to look over your work. Don’t try to cut corners here.Even if you’re a professional editor yourself with 30 years of experience, you need to outsource it to aprofessional editor.Trust me: A book that contains typos will get bad reviews and sales will drop flat. Where to hire a book editor:Jen Blood EditingMary Kole EditorialThe Novel DoctorMake sure you shop around when hiring a book editor. Sin ce book editors rates vary so greatly, you can often find an amazing editor as a fraction of the price of bigger editing companies, like NY Book Editors. If youre a Self-Publishing School student, we provide a rolodex of tried-and-trusted editors with reduced rates.A 40,000 manuscript edited through NY Book Editors can run you up to $2,700 for a comprehensive edit.NY Book Editors Cost CalculatorLove your book by spending the cash on editing. You can find quality editors atUpwork, or you can find the editors we recommend in our Preferred Outsourcer Rolodex if you’re a member of theSelf-Publishing School community. You can get a very short book, around 15,000 words, line edited for about $150-$250 if you search a wide variety of editors and find one with reasonable pricing.Ghostwriting, developmental or structural editing will run you much more than that depending on the length of your book and the depth of edits you require - prices run around $2,000 for 100,000 words. How Much Does Book Formatting Cost? You can outsource the formatting of both your e-book and print book for around $60-$200.Fiverr has some goodformattersat reasonable prices. I’d also recommend asking fellow authors if they have any great recommendations for bookformatters.Once you find a book  formatter  you really like, hang on to their contact information  for future reference.Take a look at these costs of publishing to get an idea for this:How Much Does it Cost to Promote Your Book? When it comes to spending cash on promotional sites, you could empty your bank easily. Set a budget for yourself and go with the best of the best within that budget.Budgets vary but I’ll spend $29 on the low end forBuck Books and go as high as $1,000 if you add on a bundle of promo sites to launch your book.Again, this is a major money suck if y ou’re not careful; you can throw thousands into it and get mediocre results. For the best results on several paid launches, I have used:Bookzio($19-29)Robin Reads($35)Buck Books($32)BKnights($5-40)Awesome Gang($10)Bargain Booksy ($25 for nonfiction)BookSends ($40) When it comes to paid promotions, do your research on the top sites that can generate a good return.Check out thisdetailed list of promo sites - some are free! How Much Doesit Cost to Record an Audio Book?Creating an audiobook can run you anywhere from $300 to $3,000 depending on the length of your book and who you hire to do it.If you have a novel with multiple characters and want different people to read different roles, it can run towards the high end of the budget, especially if you’re using high-end talent. Here are some places you can hire audio book narrators:Upwork 27 Best Audiobook NarratorsACX NarratorsAudio Book Recording NarratorsAudiobook VoicesIf you have a good voice or acting experience and you want to give it a shot, you can purchase the basic equipment and record theaudiobookversion yourself.Check out thisblog postfor setting up your recording studio and doing it yourself.Additional Author Tools and ExpensesHere are some of the basic tools for professional authors. This will add a price tag to your book, but many of these are just a one-time payment. Other tools will bill you monthly.#1 Book Publishing Courses If you’re new to the game ofself-publishing, take a course like Self-Publishing School orjoin our Mastermind Community, for everything you need to get started. You could also look into taking multiple courses onUdemy. But again, you can spend a fortune on various courses. I would recommend sticking with one course until you complete it and branching out to learn other skills after you get your first big win.#2 An Author Website Building an author platform is a great consideration if you’re looking to expand your business, write blogs and promote your work. You can build an entire website or just a landing page with a call-to-action to get users to opt in.It’s also important to capture leads to build your mailing list. A lead capture form on your website helps you find quality leads and determine your primary audience. Here are some things you’ll need to look into in order to get started with building a website: Hosting:You can sign up for hosting with servers such asBluehost or Hostgator. The cost would be around $150 per year, which is very reasonable for website hosting. You will get a discount when you sign up for the first year, but pay full price when you renew.Domain Name:You can purchase a domain name to secure your brand and start driving traffic to your site. Check outName.com. A domain name will cost around $10-$15 per year.Email Subscription Services:If you want to collect email addresses, you’ll need to sign upforan email subscription service to manage your emails. There are several choices:MailChi mp: This is free up to the first 2000 subscribers. If you opt in to use their autoresponder service or other upgrades, you’ll have to pay around $10 a month depending on the number of subscribers.AWeber:This platform costs $19 per month for up to 500 subscribers.ConvertKit.com: ConvertKithas tons of value. Price is based onsubscribers but starts at $29 a month for your first 1,000 subscribers. This is now one of the most robust sites for building an email list.#3 Publish Under Your Own Company Ivetalked about this elsewhere, but there are perks to publishing your print book under your own company, instead of publishing with aCreateSpace (which has now merged with KDP) ISBN or another print-on-demand service. The ISBN (the 13-digit number above the barcode at the back of your book)letsbookstores and libraries know everything about your book, including the publisher. If you use a free, generic ISBN assigned to you by CreateSpace orIngramspark, youll limit your chances of a books tore carrying your own book.Free ISBNs eliminate your ebook from being stocked onOverdrive, for example, which circulated more than105 million eBooks in 2014 to public libraries all over the world.Getting your own ISBN and setting yourself up as your own publisher will cost $295 for 10 ISBN codes, but it will help you access all distribution channels. This isnt necessary if youre just starting out - its more important to publish your book and get it out there. However, if you are serious about building a self-publishing empire and making a full-time living from your writing, youll want to eventually invest in getting your own ISBN codes and setting up your own publishing company. How to Increase Book SalesWe all want to make cash with our writing. It may not be the only reason we write, but self-publishing your own book is still an investment. And like any investment, it’s nice to get a return rather than taking a loss. Here is a list of strategies you can implement to increas e your book sales, crush those low book sales, and get more eyeballs on your work.Run acontestthroughGoodreads.Reach out to podcastersandinfluencersin your niche and set up an interview. This has proven to be a big game-changer for authors like Hal Elrod and Tim Ferriss.Run promos every 3 months. After your book has been at regular price for a while, wait three months and then drop it to99 cents again. Set up some paid ads every other day for one week. Try using theKDP countdown strategy.Blog about the topics in your book.Set up a blog and get more traffic and interest in your work by writing about what you love. Traffic that lands on your page can be directed to yourAmazon Author Pageand that meansmore book sales!Write another book.Building acatalogof books is a great formula for generating higher monthly income.Apply for a spot on Bookbub.Bookbub is the big gorilla when it comes tobookpromoting. It’s expensive ($300 and up), but it’s a solid investment and you will ma ke your money back on the promo costs. You can check outBookbub hereand sign up for an author account to get started.4 Ways to Save Money on Your Book Costs Self-publishing can be expensive if you let it. Here are a few tips to help you save on your book costs, both now and in the future.#1 Save Money on Book Formatting (if you dare!) Write your ebookwithScrivener. Not only is Scrivener the number one author tool for writing and organizing your manuscript but, if used effectively, it can save you moneyonformatting costs. If you’d like to learn more about how it works, check out thisScrivener Webinarhosted by Joseph Michael with Chandler Bolt. Joel Friedlander’s The Book Designer also offers a bundle ofbook design templatesfor both fiction and nonfiction. These templates cost money but will save you money in the long run from outsourcing. I have personally been using these to do the formatting for my books. It can betime-consumingat first but once you get the hang of it, y ou’ll save money on formatting costs.#2 Build a List of Email Subscribers Although this topic deserves its own blog (or book), I’ll mention it here because if you build up an email list now, it can save you thousands of dollars in promotional costs down the road. When you launch your next book, you’ll have hundreds or thousands of fans waiting for your next release. Not only that, but these are the fans who will leave reviews if they join yourbook launch teamand purchase your book the first week it comes out. This drives your rankings up, and this drives sales even further. Sound good? You can start to build your email list by including a link to a lead magnet in your ebook. A lead magnet is an offer of a free, valuable piece of content that readers will get if they go to your website and subscribe to your email list.#3 Barter When You Can If youre just starting out with self-publishing and youre on a tight budget, look to barter services when you can. By coming to a deal where you exchange your services or something you have that is of value to people, you can save yourself lots of money. As a writer, maybe you have some copywriting skills.See if you can share some of that in exchange for design work from a cover designer. But it doesnt have to be just raw skills that you barter - Dana Sitargot a cartoonist friend of hers to do the illustrations for her book in exchange for $50 and 10 percent of direct sales of the book. Its a decision she doesnt regret, as the illustrations get her raving reviews. If youre on a budget, you don’t need to fully cut back on the quality of your book.See if there are possibilities to cut a deal and get the service you require to set your book apart.#4 Write a Great Book! This might seem like an obvious tip, but paying attention to the quality of your book throughout the writing process is going to save you money. The better your book, the less you’ll have to spend onediting. You will also gain a sol id reputation as someone who writes really well. This means loyal fans will spread the word about your book and your blog, your email list grows, and any future books you release will practically promote themselves.Well, almost.Your Next Step We are in a great era ofself-publishing.Anyone can turn their dream into a reality with just a few months of hard work, a bit of cash, and a great book idea. Weve broken downthe cost to publish your book so that you have a rough idea of what to budget. Writers have gone on to publish bestsellers with as little an investment as $1,000, while others have required up to $20,000. It all depends what you prioritize and if you can save costs in a manner that doesnt decrease the quality of your book. While money matters, remember the reasons you want to self-publish your book: to get your message out there, build authority, and add something new to the world.Spend what you can to make your book as high quality as possible. If your audience likes it, y oull be sure to hit your goals.

Tips to Make Learning German Easier

Tips to Make Learning German Easier The first time most of us come in touch with a foreign language or at least with the need to study it, is in school. But learning a language in school is like learning to swim in one of those Japanese public swimming pools. It is simply an artificial situation and all efforts to make learning a language in a group worth everyone’s while are pretty much bound to fail. They call it the conversational or interactive approach. But isn’t using a language always interactive? And is a classroom really the right place to practice a language? Wouldn’t it suffice to instruct learners on how to learn it own their own and how to find a way to put it to good use? Overhaul your Learning Techniques Most of us get by in school as our brains are learning and survival machines. But only rarely have I come across someone who has actually learned how to learn a language. We all still often rely on those techniques that we have acquired or developed on our own in those times because they simply worked well enough. And it is these learning strategies that you might still use to learn German nowadays. But with the difference that nowadays it is not to improve your grades or to make your parents proud, but to deal with a real live situation. There are but there are two elemental factors that make a significant difference when you are learning German. The Main Keys to Success in German Language Learning The first thing that I demand from every learner is that they will take an exam at the end of our cooperation. And although this goal is just part of their success, it sets a very clear direction, enables us to develop a structure for our actions and sets a measurable time limit to our efforts. Without a clear goal and structure, any language will simply be overwhelming. There are thousands of words to learn, the grammar, and German grammar, in particular, seems impenetrable. When we try to speak we feel like there’s goo coming out of our mouths.   Setting up an exam date right away  does wonders for your learning. The problem is that we usually have no idea how long it will take us to reach a certain level. And that’s why I always recommend†¦ Get a Guide You are not the first to learn another language and there have been many men and women pulling their hair out over the question of how we can learn a new language the most efficient way. Some pulled a bit stronger and came up with miraculous methods which very often claim to teach you a language with very little effort and/or in very little time. Needless to say, you’d better refer to your gesunder menschenverstand, your common sense, when you come across anything that seems too good to be true. Good teachers are among the most undervalued people in this world. If you find a good teacher, you have an invaluable companion by your side. She will fight off the wolves, pick up the pebbles and thorns from your barefoot path and get you to just go a few meters farther when you waver and doubt whether you can reach your goal which still seems so far away. She is your walking cane, the whistled tune on your lips and the umbrella when it rains.   Of course one could also learn German on one’s own with ones proven techniques but I can state that from my experience, learning German with a tutor and with a clear goal makes a big difference. You will still have a lot of work to do but you will suffer significantly less.

A study on International Relations (IR) Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 2500 words

A study on International Relations (IR) - Essay Example It is therefore natural that the Ukrainian Crises has significant impact in international business as pro-Russian and pro-European forces clash inside the country. This essay makes an analysis of the implication of the Ukrainian Crisis on international business while appreciating the fact that the crisis has ceased being an internal matter to one pitting Russia on one hand and most of European countries and the United States on the other. The beginning of the Ukrainian Crisis was greatly influenced by the events leading to the ouster from power of Russian-backed President Viktor Yanukovych. President Viktor Yanukovych was removed from power following widespread protests against his decision to suspend the EU–Ukraine Association Agreement in favour developing closer ties with Russia (Yakovenko, 2014; Fisher, 2014). Pro-Russian separatists in Donetsk and Luhansk were also emboldened by the annexation of the Ukrainian peninsula of Crimea by Russia. The decision by Viktor Yanukovych not to a trade deal with the European Union was seen by many pro-European Ukrainians as propagating the interests of Russia instead of promoting policies positive outcomes for the people of Ukraine. Russia reacted to these assertions by providing financial incentives, which included offering 50 percent price reduction on natural gas in addition to 15 billion dollars as financial aid package for the economically weak country. Following Viktor Yanukovych’s removal from office, and replacement with Arseniy Yatsenyuk who is a pro-Western technocrat, there was an escalation of tension between Russia and Ukraine. Russia reacted to the ouster of its ally by declaring it an illegal revolution followed by deployment of its troops into Crimea to take control of military facilities and ports. The annexation of Crimea following a referendum in favour of self-determination led to more

Arbitration Case Study Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words

Arbitration - Case Study Example Instead the allegations made against him were presented at that time. It would be interesting to determine who crossed his name out - assuming that this occurred - and why. If the claimant's allegations are proven to be true then it would appear that there has been a conspiracy to remove him from the company. How high up the conspiracy would go is not clear, but on the face of things would appear to involve the manager on duty that day since the work schedule has been defaced, and this has not been queried (at least not as far as one can tell, based upon the article). Since the article does not give the company's side of the dispute it is difficult to gauge the veracity of the claimant's account. However, clearly they feel there is a case to be answered since they are prepared to go to arbitration. The greatest difficulty the manager has in this situation is obtaining a truthful account of what happened. The claimant did not seek his line manager's advice at the time that he alleges he saw his name crossed out. Nor would it appear that until matters had reached a head did the claimant make any allegations of discrimination or unfair treatment from his colleagues. Assuming that I was aware of the tensions brewing in the kitchen my first priority would have been to prevent an escalation of the matter. Clearly there is at least one person in the organisation who does not respect other members of staff, namely the person who the claimant alleges swore at him. Had I been made aware of this I would have given the offender a verbal warning, and made it clear that no-one comes to work to have their self-esteem undermined. Depending on how wide spread such behaviour appeared to be I would also initiate a round of anti-discrimination continuing professional development classes, focusing particularly upon the issues in our specific workplace. Also it would appear that there is a shortage of staff in the kitchen or at least under employment of some members of staff and over employment of others - namely the claimant. This suggests that a time and motion study needs to be undertaken to ensure that there are sufficient hands on deck, and that employees are able to complete the tasks in order to keep the business functioning. 3. this is a union situation and has moved to arbitration. recognizing your chracteristics, what method of dispute resolution would you take yo could agree it should go to arbitration or should have been dealt with differantly. you may choose which ever way you want. however you must explain why you choose this method of resolution from teh union and why or why not, what would be the worst method Although arbitration is less expensive than a full industrial tribunal, I would opt for an in-house resolution, the primary reason being to reduce negative publicity. Not only is there a grievance matter here, there may also be a disciplinary issue. I would be tempted to return to the drawing board and exhaust our internal systems prior to handing it over to

High School and Teen Pregnancy Essay Example for Free

High School and Teen Pregnancy Essay A. General Purpose: To inform B. Specific Purpose: To inform my audience on what I see as the biggest challenges young adults face today. C. Central Idea: I will give three reasons as to what I see as the biggest challenges are; the abuse of drugs and alcohol, teen pregnancies, and unemployment. I. Introduction A. More than half of teen mothers never get their high school diploma because they drop out of high school to provide a better parenthood for their child. B. The use of illegal drugs is increasing in young teens. An average age of first usage of marijuana is 14 and alcohol usage can start at age 12. The usage of marijuana and alcohol is now very common in high schools. C. More than 40% of those who have earned their college degree in the last two years are working in a job that does not require their degree. II. A. Teen pregnancy is affecting young adults more each year. 1. Young adults are taught that it is okay to raise a child no matter what age you are. 2. Even though statistics show that teen pregnancies are a negative outcome in their lives, some manage to make it a positive outcome. B. Young adults do not realize the use of drugs and alcohol at young age can cause negative effects on your life. They feel like they are indestructible and immune to the problems that others experience. 1. It is common for teens to experiment the use of drugs and alcohol. The problem is when they get addicted and are moving on to more dangerous drugs. 2. see more:papers on teen pregnancy Teenagers, who are depressed, have low self-esteem, and feel like they don’t fit in will most likely develop a serious drug and alcohol problem. C. Some young adults who are unemployed, are not able to pay their student loans, car payments, and cannot afford an apartment so they have to go back to their childhood bedroom and live with their parents. 1. The unemployment rate in young adults rose significantly in just one month of July 2013 from 16. 4% to 16. 8%. 2. More than 4 out of 5 are now delaying and changing their major life decisions. I. Conclusion Young adults face many challenges every day. I have listed the main three that I consider are the biggest, teen pregnancy, the abuse of drug and alcohol, and the unemployment that young adults are facing today. Some challenges are just part of life and we have to learn how to deal with them, but there are others such as unemployment that we can change. The thing is, it’s not going to change by its self, and we have to do something about it if we want to see a change in the coming future.

Martin Luther :: essays research papers

Martin Luther MARTIN LUTHER, the greatest of the Protestant reformers of the 16th century, was born at Eisleben, on the 10th of November 1483. His father was a miner in humble circumstances; his mother, as Melanchthon records, was a woman of exemplary virtue, and esteemed in her walk of life. Shortly after Martin's birth, his parents removed to Mansfield, where their circumstances ere long improved by industry and perseverance. Their son was sent to school; and both at home and at school his training was of a severe and hardening character. When he reached his eighteenth year, he entered the university at Erfurt, with a view of qualifying himself for the legal profession. He went through the usual studies in the classics and the schoolmen, and took his degree as Doctor of Philosophy, or Master of Arts, in 1505, when he was twenty-one years of age. Previous to this, however, a profound change of feeling had begun in him. Chancing one day to examine the vulgate version of the Bible in the University Library, he saw with astonishment that there were more gospels and epistles than in the lectionaries. He was arrested by the contents of his newly found treasure. His heart was deeply touched, and he resolved to devote himself to a spiritual life. He separated himself trom his friends and fellow-students, and withdrew into the Augustine convent at Erfurt. Here he spent the next three years of his life - years of peculiar interest and significance, for it was during this period that he laid in the study of the Bible and of Augustine, the foundation of those doctrinal convictions which were afterwards to rouse and strengthen him in his struggles against the papacy. He describes very vividly the crisis through which he passed, the burden of sin which so long lay upon him, "too heavy to be borne;" and the relief that he at length found in the clear understanding of the "forgiveness of sins" through the grace of Christ. In the year 1507, Luther was ordained a priest, and in the following year he moved to Wittenberg, destined to derive its chief celebrity from his name. He became a teacher in the new university, founded there by the Elector Frederick of Saxony. In 1510 or 1511, he was sent on a mission to Rome, and he has described yery vividly what he saw and heard there. On his return from Rome, he was made a Doctor of the Holy Scriptures, and his career as a reformer may be said to have commenced.

English as the Official Language Essay

For so many years in the world, it is undeniable that the English language has been used as a medium of communication. Many countries are using the English language for its people to understand each other. Today, the American English is peculiarly influential, due to the fact that the United States has become the center of excellence in terms of popular music, television programs, business and technology, film making and many others (â€Å"History of the English Language†). Although there are myriad kinds of English language spoken around the world like Australian English, Indian English and Canadian English, the dominance of the English language is the primary reason that its utilization as an official language in the United States of America should be pushed through. Therefore, it is claimed in this paper that it is proper and tenable for the American English to be considered and approved by the government as the official language of the United States of America. There are three major reasons why it is proper for the American English to be approved as the official language of the United States of America. First, American English is widely used in many countries in the world that makes the United States of America as a melting pot of many races. Second, the American English is the best communicative tool for the understanding of individuals in terms of political, economic, spiritual, physical and educational development. Third, it has been proven for so many years that the use of America English has caused improvement of the country in general. With that, it cannot be denied that the most influential and dominant language in the world is American English. The Dominance of the American English Language American English is widely used in many countries in the world that makes the United States of America as a melting pot of many races. There are many people around the world who have chosen to migrate in the United States of America. The reasons of their migration are to find a greener pasture or to enjoy the freedom and affluence that they can get in the country by chance or opportunity. The country is known for its democratic and representative governance, such that many races are confident enough that America can make their dreams come true. In connection with that, speaking the American English language is an indispensable tool to become a successful immigrant in the country. Therefore, majority of immigrants are also speaking the same language as used by the Americans, making the language the most widely used communicative tool in the land. A study was conducted by the U. S. Census Bureau and released findings that literacy and fluency in English is necessary to achieve economic self-sufficiency (Burt 1). Immigrants who can speak well in American English language are most likely profitable in their jobs and business while staying in the United States. Since almost 22% who held jobs in the United States are foreign-born, their ability to speak English has a great impact on the economic improvement of the country (Burt 1). That is the main reason why immigrants wanted to learn English as a second language, which adds to the dominance of the same language in the United States of America. Is it not a sign of additional resources for the economic and political progress of the country? Yes, it is. The numerous foreign-born workers in the country contribute to the economic development in one way or another. The native-born workers and businessmen can communicate well with immigrants adding more chances for economic improvements.  Ã‚     Hence, making the American English Language as official in the United States is proper. American English Language: The Best Communicative Tool The American English is the best communicative tool for the understanding of individuals in terms of political, economic, cultural, spiritual, physical and educational development. It has been said that a language is a systematic medium of communication through the use of sounds or conventional symbols (Manivannan 1). Calvetta Essay

4. How, if at all, should Calveta’s organization structure and practices be changed to accommodate growth and effective communication, while maintaining the company’s culture? This is a very sticky issue. Growth, along with other factors, seems to have diminishing effects on company culture, popularly referred to as â€Å"Antonio’s way†. Two forms of growth present themselves to the company. They can either expand into the hospital segment (which falls in line with core competencies); or they could buy up GSD consequently growing their SLF customer base. Given the issues listed, I don’t believe purchasing GSD would be profitable, as debt financing would have to be undertaken thus, going against Antonio’s way. However, Frank believes they must grow in order to stay competitive within the industry so the former opportunity should be undertaken. The turnover, and promotion rate for Calveta is too rapid. It’s one of the major issues dissatisfied customers had with the SLF. Frank should consider slowing this down, and perhaps placing new staff members in proper training programs administered by current staff to ensure smooth staff changes. Whilst flexibility and ease of advancement may make the employees happier, the customers will suffer from the constant interrupted changes. Calveta should maintain a degree of normalcy in the workplace, and make it harder to advance (could have positive affects on employees motivation). Another structural issue is the current staff organization. If Frank is worried about the loss of emphasis on his father’s ideals he must communicate this effectively with the staff. Discussion groups, incentive packages, and achievable goals should be established for all staff members, especially new ones, so that company culture is maintained and reinforced. If Calveta are to grow, they will need a larger amount of regional employees. This will most likely lead to the hiring of persons outside of the company. Calveta need not hire them right out of college though. They may obtain them from similar companies with similar values and ideals. As GSD is about to be taken over, perhaps the better staff members may wish to come to Calveta  instead of staying on with a new owner. To ensure continuation of company culture pointed questions in the interview and recruitment process pertaining to it should be asked. Similarly, constant feedback for current employees would reinforce challenge 4, of Antonio’s way.

Why is Homework Important to Children, Parents, and School Teachers

Why is Homework Important to Children, Parents, and School Teachers Homework should be a positive experience that helps and encourages all children to learn well and improve their final grade. Why is homework important? Every teacher assigns it to help a student apply, review, and integrate everything that children usually study in the class. If you complete assignments regularly, you achieve the following educational goals: Exploring topics more fully than your classroom setting permits; Preparing for the next lesson. There’s something more to learning successfully than just mastering your content. It has different facts and requires many learned skills. Why Teachers Assign Homework Teachers assign it to help students do the following: Develop their initiative and understand how to work independently; Acquire efficient habits of time management, problem-solving, and self-discipline; Master good research skills to find, organize, and condense information; Gain a good sense of personal responsibility for learning; Learn to use academic libraries and other available resources. Another good thing is that homework brings teachers and parents closer together. When parents supervise and help their children with regular assignments, they get a clear understanding of their school, education, progress, etc. Importance of Doing Your Homework Why is homework important? This question is popular because homework isn’t fun to do. Conduct your research to get more information about basic reasons why it’s good for any student and what benefits it brings. Doing your homework teaches you how to study and work independently because you learn how to use different resources, like libraries, texts, book chapters, and even websites. When you face challenges, you know how to deal with them successfully. No matter how well you think you understood materials in the class during the day, there will always be times when you have problems with assignments. Homework helps students learn beyond the scope of their class. Example problems from textbooks and teachers show you how to complete assignments. Pass the acid test to see if you really understand lecture materials and can do the entire work on your own. In all science classes, homework is critically important. It helps you see different concepts in a new light and teaches you how all quotation work in general, not only in particular examples. 8 Basic Reasons to do Your Homework If you still have doubts whether to complete your assignments, check these reasons for doing homework: Shows you what your teachers think is essential to learn and gives you a good idea of what to expect from future tests; Offers a good opportunity to connect siblings, classmates, and parents with your education and get important support from them; Is a huge part of your grades (if you fail to do your homework well, it will cost you a lot); Teaches you accountability and responsibility when learning different subject matters; Teaches you effective time management and how to prioritize all of your tasks; Helps you learn how to get rid of procrastination because of assigned deadlines; Helps you improve your self-esteem and identify existing issues before they get out of your control; Reinforces concepts because the more you practice, the more likely you are to learn them. Get A+ for Your Homework The Homework Debate What is this debate about? Some people focus on negative sides and claim that homework has no academic benefits because it takes time away from extracurricular activities and makes children dislike education. All of them are untrue. Completing your assignments deepens your understanding of subjects. It puts the responsibility for learning on you and teaches basic organizational skills that you will carry and refine throughout your life. The main argument to add to the homework debate is suggesting that things aren’t only black and there are always two sides. Why should Homework be Mandatory? It’s an invaluable preparatory tool that teaches improved organization and discipline and makes children understand all subjects through their detailed and increased exposure to them. Homework should be mandatory because it: Helps students go into a greater depth with topics; Is useful for all teachers; Involves parents in their children’s development; Can be fun; Teaches personal responsibility; Prepares students for colleges; Equips people for their lifelong learning. How Does it Improve your Knowledge? It’s not the amount of homework that you do that determines your grades, but a deeper understanding of materials that you gain because of that. Forcing students to spend more time on assignments won’t bring the desired effect. They should like learning to be willing to spend more time on their homework and be more likely to get a deeper understanding of academic subjects. Teachers should ensure that homework won’t introduce anything new. It should give students a great opportunity to review their class materials and practice the subjects that they learn in the classroom to strengthen their knowledge. There are other effective ways to achieve this goal, like socializing, reading, and playing special educational games, but introducing new topics through homework is counterproductive. Why is it Useful for Teachers? If teachers use homework in the right way, it gives them quite a useful tool to evaluate what their students understand and don’t understand from lessons. It provides them with a clear indication of those topics that may need more attention because some students find them complex. It goes further than that. Experienced teachers should assign the homework that can ensure targeted feedbacks. They should give students only the assignments beneficial to their learning needs and use them as a great tool to address specific struggling areas. How does it Involve Parents in Children’s Development? Homework is beneficial because of parent-child bonding. Parents aren’t responsible for working with its content, but they should facilitate their good learning habits to help their children succeed academically. They should look for exciting and new ways of learning. Homework offers a number of ways how parents can nurture the intellectual curiosity of their kids and adapt assignments to updated educational standards. Parents can ask their children to research any controversial subject online, identify its aspects and sides, and suggest a personal view to open their minds to different interests that lie behind available information. Homework teaches all students to think critically. Parents should ask their children to come up with interesting topics and turn them into extended projects and conduct their research. This effective technique teaches students how to deepen their knowledge of different subjects and develop useful skills to shape their lives. Why is it Fun? With the latest technological advancements, teachers have no limits in terms of the homework types they can assign to students. They have a good choice of effective educational tools, like special software, apps, and sites to make homework fun. Ask Help With Homework How does it Teach Personal Responsibility? Learning personal responsibility is an important part of becoming independent. Homework equips you for your future life in a practical sense and teaches you many administrative or organizational things, including deadlines. The way you learn and refine your discipline comes from homework. It equips you with the skills necessary for your adult life. How Homework Prepares Students for Colleges Complete your assignments regularly to graduate from your college successfully and achieve your success. If you don’t perform well, you’ll have to face harsh consequences. Homework offers a number of benefits, and most of them aren’t quantified. This means that they don’t relate to your grade point averages, test scores, or degree classifications because they related to your ability to keep challenging yourself intellectually, academically, and recreationally. How Does it Equip People for their Lifelong Learning? Homework can come in handy if you want to learn how to teach yourself and continue your education at home. Many people dedicate insufficient time to educating themselves through reading, but it’s one of the best known building habits. How to solve this problem through assignments? Parents and teachers should start encouraging students to read voraciously. This is how they start understanding how to devour literature, assimilate more knowledge into their minds, and learn to question and think critically. Failing to do that raises barriers to intellectual progress. Concluding Words There are many academic benefits that come with doing your homework in terms of your academic and general success. That’s why it should be mandatory in all schools. It teaches students a set of important skills. Doing your homework isn’t always easy and fun, but you can always count on our professional assistance and online services. Economical changes during 2008-09 financial crisis Essay

Economical changes during 2008-09 financial crisis - Essay Example to analyze the evolvement of the current financial crisis, its effects on the economy of United States as well as its financial market, some of the problems the United States may face in the future and also to discuss some of the short term and long term solutions. According to Taylor (2008) financial crisis is the result of monetary or any other form of excesses, which leads to a boom and results in a bust. It can also occur when financial institutions or assets lose its value (Kindleberger and Aliber (2005). It is also characterised by the reduction in flow of credit to the businesses and households (Jickling, 2008). During the period from 2000 to 2007 the monetary policy by the Federal Reserve was highly flexible and easy to follow. Loans and mortgages were easily available even when there was no evident means to repay it. The Federal Reserve lowered the interest rate compared to those prevalent at the time before crisis. They even explained that the lowering of the interest period would be only for a short period of time and that after that time the interest rate would be restored to normal by slowly increasing it at a fixed rate. Thus it is quite evident that the lowering of the interest rate, which resulted in monetary excess, was actual ly a wrong decision by the Federal Reserve. The reason they gave for such an action was to avoid the occurrence of a deflation that occurred in Japan in 1990’s (Taylor, 2008). Sub prime mortgages were designed actually to make each and every citizen of US, a homeowner. These mortgages were given to those people who were having a very high-risk profile and were on variable interest rates. Most of the banks did this based on the assumption that housing price would continue to rise. This nature of these mortgages resulted in foreclosure of loans when the house prices began to fall. The fall of price of houses resulted in loss of asset value of most of the banks. The housing boom and bust that followed not only affected the
